Here you meet Owen D. Owen had an acquired brain injury from a tragic hit and run motorcycle accident 22 years ago and was in and out of a coma for over 4 years. They never found the driver of the car that hit him. The next 4 years were spent in a New York City Rehabilitation Hospital. Over the past 2 years, in addition to the gains he made in traditional rehabilitation, we have taught Owen how to walk over a 2000 ft using a walker (one contact guard). He is also beginning to use our cognitive programs and speech/reading software. The goal is for him to get his GED! He comes 3 days a week for 3-4 hours a visit.  He now considers MWH his second home.

By duplicating our program in 15 to 20 communities in CT, countless people like Owen will find a “second home” where health, wellness, and community is enhanced. When we complete our onsite apartments located in the Center of Downtown Shelton CT, people like Owen can have continued health and wellness, living conditions will be improved as well as access to central services.
